While son #2 was playing field lacrosse at a college in Olympia Washington, Del and I had some fun. We went to the zoo - seriously! Seahorses and sea lions! We also went to Gig Harbour - cute place and visited this lovely house and garden on a lake near Tacoma.
The place was beautiful and loaded with busy bees. I can't help myself! I love to photograph them.
The pacific bumble bee is nearly all black with a yellow stripe. Interestingly, some flowers are favored by honey bees and others by bumble bees.
